Here are a few pics from the last Fleet 30 party

Here are a few pics from the last Fleet 30 party (The End is Near) at Hampton docks. Trish Smith is pictured with Fleet members Diane Leighton, Laurie Dombey, Dawana Jennings (and Chandler Clark- "token male"..who also happens to own the boat we heisted!); Trish formerly owned Herizon (as in "Her") Sailing school. She was invited, along with her friend Ted to join Fleet 30 at the dock party. They were both anchored in Hampton Creek (in their own vessels, of course) and offered the girls of the fleet a special "hands on" sailing lesson. Without delay, several girl fleeters took her up on her offer and met the next day and again a few days later to learn the art of sailing from a female perspective. She is absolutely amazing! She not only taught the maneuvers of single handed motoring/docking/mooring/etc, etc, she also taught rigging, man overboard, jibing, and numerous safety measures. She will back next year to meet the rest of the female captains of Fleet 30 and offer an extended course...maybe a cruising course, liveaboard course, or whatever we would be interested in.

Girls...DON'T miss her on her next visit!
